Michael Gage for Delegate

Michael Gage has dedicated himself to caring for others. Growing up he moved several times from Charleston SC where he was born, to Newport News and Springfield, Virginia before settling down with his family in St. Louis, Missouri. His father Michael J. Gage was a graduate from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and was a submarine officer. His father had been a sales associate for the family business Gage Products where they manufacture items for the automobile industry. Through this job Michael was able to go with his father to many cities and learned a great deal about business practices. His mother grew up in Silver Spring, MD and attended the University of Maryland and was an education major. She taught elementary school for many years and now is a substitute teacher and stay at home Mom with Michael’s younger sister Maureen. His brother Matthew graduated from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN and he resides in Kirkwood, MO right near their childhood home.

Michael attended Chaminade Preparatory School where he was involved in many sports thus leading to his sense of teamwork and leadership. Michael then went on to attend college at Spring Hill in Mobile Alabama and Mary Washington University to study Political Science.

Michael is a life member of the Tuckahoe Jaycees and served in many leadership positions including President where he was recognized as one of 5 Outstanding Local Presidents of the Year in 2002. He also went on to serve the Virginia Jaycees as Program Manager and Parliamentarian.
Michael has worked in the food and restaurant industry for all of his adult life. He managed movie theatres in St. Louis and in Virginia he worked and managed for Atlanta Bread Company, Krispy Kreme, Panera Bread and Chick-Fil-A.
Michael is a member of the Young Republican, Henrico County Republican Committee, and the Republican Party of Virginia.
Michael is a 10 year cancer survivor.
Michael and Karen Gage have been married for 6 years, and reside in Glen Allen. Karen Gage is an Executive Assistant for Capital One as well as a two time recipient of Capital One’s Volunteer of the Year award. Karen also is a Star Recruiter for Mary Kay. The Gage family attends Grove Avenue Baptist Church. Michael and Karen have three dogs, Minnie, Bailey and TiBiD, all of whom are adopted from area rescue groups including AARF, Richmond Animal League and BARK respectively.
